The Mission of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is to serve the Coast RTA Board of Directors, management, staff, and general public in a proactive role to develop, promote and implement programs to make Coast RTA a world class mass public transportation system.

The goals and objectives of the CAC are:

  • Make written recommendations to the Board of Directors on matters, i.e. fare adjustments, short and long range plan updates, and major or new projects.
  • Review, monitor and recommend service and program improvements or expansion projects to Coast RTA.
  • Strengthen community relations within the Coast RTA service area through the development and implementation of public relations campaigns, programs and events.

The CAC meets regularly at the Coast RTA offices, 1418 3rd Avenue Conway, SC on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. CAC members and the Coast RTA Board of Directors recommend additional members to serve. Currently, Pam Creech serves as the CAC Chairperson and Bo Ives fills the Secretary position.

The CAC currently has openings available in Horry County Districts 2, 11 and Georgetown County. If you have a dedicated interest in mass public transportation and would like to serve on the CAC, we encourage you to submit an application. To submit an application, click here.
