Coast RTA Launches
New Service to Charleston

On December 12, 2009, Coast RTA began express service to Charleston, South Carolina. The Grand Strand - Charleston Connector provides convenient transportation to residents and tourists of Horry and Georgetown counties.

On Thursdays and Saturdays, stops in Georgetown and Charleston will allow passengers to visit both cities for business and pleasure. There will be access to the VA Medical Center and Medical University of South Carolina as well as the Charleston Visitor's Center on Meeting Street. A return trip will allow visitors to enjoy Myrtle Beach attractions with stops at Broadway at the Beach and the Coast RTA transfer center for easy access to dining, shopping and entertainment.

In December and January, Coast RTA will offer an introductory 2-for-1 special. With each paid fare, a complimentary guest rides FREE.
